In their memory

For the one you carry with you.

A prayer offered in their name, at a place they held sacred — even when you cannot be there yourself.

When someone you love passes, there is often one more thing you wish you could do for them — a prayer at the temple they never missed, a lamp lit where they always lit one, their name spoken once more in a sacred place.

Sevahey makes that possible from wherever you are. A verified Sevak — a real, named person — offers a seva in your loved one's name and sends you proof the same day: photos from the place of worship, a short video, and a handwritten note carrying their name.

There is no right or wrong place for this. Some families choose Kashi or Rameshwaram. Some choose the small neighbourhood temple, gurudwara, dargah, or church their mother or father visited every week for forty years. Both are exactly right.

Gentle answers

Questions families often ask.

Can I have a prayer offered for my late father or mother in India?

Yes. Through Sevahey, a verified Sevak offers a seva in your loved one's name at a temple, gurudwara, dargah, or church of your choosing, and sends you same-day proof — GPS-tagged photos, a short video, and a handwritten note carrying their name.

Which places do families choose for a seva in someone's memory?

Many Hindu families choose Kashi Vishwanath in Varanasi, Rameshwaram, Trimbakeshwar, or Badrinath — places long associated with prayers for those who have passed. Just as many choose the temple their loved one visited all their life. Every faith is welcome: an ardas at a gurudwara or a dua at a dargah is offered with the same care.

I live abroad and couldn't be there. Can I still do something?

Yes. Many devotees in the US, UK, Dubai, and elsewhere book a seva in a parent's or grandparent's name through Sevahey. A verified Sevak performs it in person at the place you choose, and the proof reaches your phone the same day. Distance does not have to mean absence.

What will I receive after the seva?

GPS-tagged photos from the place of worship, a short video of the seva, audio recorded on-site, and a handwritten note from the Sevak with your loved one's name. Many families keep the note beside the family altar or with their photographs.

Who performs the seva, and is it done respectfully?

A named, identity-verified Sevak performs the seva in person. You see exactly who served you on your proof receipt. Sevaks are devotees who serve at their own places of worship, and a seva offered in memory is treated with particular care.

Does Sevahey perform shraddha or pind daan rites?

Full priest-led rites such as shraddha, pind daan, or Narayan Nagbali are conducted by the temples' own priests. What Sevahey offers is a seva — an archana or prayer offered in your loved one's name at the sacred place itself, with proof that it was done. Many families do both; many find the seva itself is what they needed.
